Indian markets regular to turn down in early on trade for the third day on Monday. At 10.01.am, the Sensex was trading up 50.38 pts at 18,224.47 with 21 components gaining. In the intervening time, the Nifty was trading elevated by 20.50 pts at 5,465.95 with 33 components gaining.The 30-share standard index, BSE Sensex opened flat with a decline of 6.99 pts or 0.04% at 18,167.10, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a fall of 8.95 pts or 0.16%, at 5,436.50.
Sensex Movers
Reliance Industries contributed rise of 22.68 pts in the Sensex followed by Housing Development Finance Corporation 11.13 pts, H D F C Bank 7.88 pts, Tata Steel 7.45 pts and I C I C I Bank 6.98 pts.
On the other hand, Tata Motors contributed fall of 6.45 pts in the Sensex followed by Maruti Suzuki India 5.9 pts, Bharti Airtel 4.16 pts, Tata Consultancy Services 3.94 pts and Infosys Technologies 2.72 pts.
Market Breadth
Market breadth was optimistic with 1,067 advances against 841 declines.
